Entering the Awards

How much does it cost to enter?
It costs £95 +VAT to enter a single product.

If you are a retailer, it is free of charge to enter.

How do I enter a product?

Where do I send my product sample?
Please send your products to Helen Palmer-Wickens, DIY Week Awards, Mansard House, Church Road, Little Bookham, Surrey, KT23 3JG

How many products can I enter?
You can enter as many products as you like providing they meet the launch date criteria. Please note that the entry form allows you to enter multiple products with one submission.

What is the product entry deadline?
The product entry deadline is Sunday, December 15, 2019. Upon entry, you will be given details of where to send your product. Your product sample will not be required until January 30, 2020.

What happens to my product after judging?
You can choose to donate your product to a charity sale. All proceeds will be donated to the industry charity – The Rainy Day Trust. If you would prefer to have your product returned you can notify us of this on your entry form.

My product sample is quite large, is this ok to send?
We welcome entries of all shapes and sizes – remember though, if you would prefer to not donate your product to the chosen charity sale you will need to cover the cost of return postage. If you have any specific concerns regarding the delivery of your product please contact Sallie Payne on 01622 699151.

When will I know if I have made it onto the shortlist?
Judging will take place in January/February 2020 and we will announce the shortlist via the magazine in March 2020. We will also personally notify shortlisted retailers and suppliers.

Attending the Awards

What is the dress code for The DIY Week Awards?
The dress code for the awards luncheon is lounge suits and cocktail dresses.

 

I have a special dietary requirement, can this be catered for?
Of course. Before the awards we will ask for your guest names, there will be an option for you to enter your dietary requirements as part of this process. If you change guests after submitting this information, please contact Helen Palmer-Wickens at hpalmer-wickens@datateam.co.uk as soon as possible.

 

What time do the awards start?
The drinks reception will begin at 12:00pm and call for lunch at 1pm. We expect the awards ceremony to end around 4:30pm.
